asal usul MUHAMMAD UMAR...

alrite...we're not going to reveal where baby come from or how baby was born...

just wanna share how we finally decided to named our wonderful baby boy, Muhammad Umar bin Anas...

at first,quite a long time ago,my hubby and i choose the name Arman Harris for our first baby boy...ala,bf-gf talk...berangan lebih..hehe..Arman means inspiration,hope and Harris means protector in arabic.

but,me,a lil' bit western as my hubby always said,want Arman to be Armand,with an extra 'D' on it...mengada betul kn..Armand also means knight (kesatria)

so,we did had some arguments about the name Arman Harris...plus,my lil brother,Syakir once said that Arman is just like his Indian friend's name,Armanathan..huhuhu

so...ARMAN HARRIS is out of the list...

then,when i was pregnant,i am really into one Phillipines' series, She Wolf, aired on tv3 during that time.like usual,i kind of interested to see the hero...hehe..'kind of' konon..the name of the character is Noah..

Nuh in English=Noah...but of course,my hubby strictly forbid me to use that name..it really makes sense though...i mean,what in the world i was thinking...haha...must be the pregnancy hormone...hormon gak yang salah..heee...but,anyway,Ashraff Sinclair and BCL named their son Noah..quite a commercial name..for them...absolutely not for us...

so,NOAH is out of the list
after that,my hubby bought a book entitled "Motivasi untuk Pemimpin"...if i'm not mistaken...in the book,there are stories about famous Muslim leader.one of them is sahabat Rasulullah S.A.W, Khalifah Umar Al-Khattab...of course as everyone know,Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also had other famous sahabat like Saidina Ali, Saidina Uthman and Saidina Abu Bakar...

but, Ali is my late grandfather name...while Uthman and Abu Bakar are my Cik Man and Pak Long's name.so, Umar is available, and it is a nice name...plus, Khalifah Umar Al Khattab was very unknown for his strong leadership skills, strict person, clever, wealthy and spend his wealthness for Islam...pahlawan,cendekiawan,hartawan,dermawan...

so, Umar is definitely on the list...my parents like it too

however,Umar is quite short...takkan Umar je,cam nama Abah,Anas...ok je sebenarnye,tp tak nak simple sangat...hehe

so,i search in few books and online, found another name i like, Thaqif.Thaqif means clever and easy to understand.Umar Thaqif...sounds perfect...but,not really.My hubby asked Baba (my father in law) on his opinion about the name Umar Thaqif...Baba said the combination is not quite suitable...oh huh...

so, Thaqif is out of the list...

My hubby asked for Ibu (my mother in law) suggestion, then Ibu said it is better for a baby boy to be named Muhammad...very good name...lebih afdhal la katakan...

so, Muhammad is on the list...
Fikir punya fikir...why not we just give our baby boy name Muhammad Umar...simple,nice meaning,perfect...u may call it ol' skool,but we're pretty sure,despite of all canggih manggih names now,Muhammad Umar is the one for our little bundle of joy...
