MuHammAD uMaR is 3...

Alhamdulillah...our little caliph is 3...we love u, Muhammad Umar bin Anas. Actually tak ada plan untuk sambut pun. Cuma bercadang nak bagi goodie bags macam tahun-tahun lepas je, and buat kek untuk Umar potong. Kebetulan pula, sepupu bertunang dan adakan majlis tahlil di rumah. So, dah saudara mara datang berkumpul kat rumah, terus je la selit sekali slot Umar potong kek. Umar mula2 malu2 nak potong, dah Abah pujuk sama baru la ok sket. Hehe..meriah sebab ramai saudara yang ada. Alhamdulillah...semoga Muhammad Umar menjadi anak yang soleh ye sayang...

WaY To gO!!!

Alhamdulillah...

My prince has officially pacifier-free...Hehehe

Congratulations my boy...(^_^)

Actually, it happened coincidentally. My hubby and I have tried before to persuade him with many excuses to make him wean off the pacifier, but, it never works. It only temporary and then when night came, and it is bedtime, he cried and we felt for it and gave him the pacifier instead. Last week, Umar, himself accidentally throw the pacifier and it ended up missing.

So, this is the best opportunity. It was never a problem during the day. But when he tries to sleep, he needs the pacifier. So, there was an old orthodontic pacifier in the chiller. Opah gave it to him, but he hated it. He said "Puting ni tak sedap", and rejects it. Luckily, Opah and Atok were so determined to help us with the plan to make him wean off the pacifier. It was not easy especially during nights. The first few nights, he cried, and woke up every 2-3 hours asking for milk and did not really sleep well. He puts his finger in his mouth almost all the time.

Alhamdulillah, about less than a week, he eventually get used to it. We were all being very supportive and never bring up the word 'puting' to help him forget. He no longer ask for the pacifier and the sleeping pattern also improved. He's not tempted anymore when he sees other's pacifier. We are so proud of him. It was not easy, of course, and he is so great considering that his Ummi was actually pacifier-free at 6 years old...Hahaha...

His favorite pacifier, the only type he liked

p/s: I was so much worse than my boy. I actually bring my pacifier to the kindergarten and sneakily suck it during recess time. Hehehe. My parents tried everything but failed. One day, I went to Kuala Lumpur and my uncle, Cik Man told me one sentence, "Orang KL tak hisap puting la". That magical sentence was the reason I gave up my pacifier..(^_^)

FrOm bAbY uMaR tO AbaNg UmAr...

Our precious son will turn 3 this coming July. Hence, I have decided not to call him Baby Umar anymore. Of course, as a mom, we wish that our children will always be our baby forever. So, when it is time to spoil him a little bit, or when i try to coax or flatter him, I always call him Baby Umar. Of course, he likes it so much when I call him like that. But, it started to have bad effects.

Well, he is after all a clever boy, Alhamdulillah. So, he started to manipulate the word 'baby'. For example, when I told him that he needs to wean off pacifier, and start trying to ditch his diapers, or he needs to walk rather than having us carrying him because he is already a big boy, he always came with the same excuse which is " Umar kecik lagi, Umar kan baby lagi"...his words exactly.

I tried calling him Abang Umar before. But, not for long because I always switch back and forth to Baby Umar again and again. Perhaps the main reason is because he is my only child for now. But I guess I need to be firm from now on. Well, being firm is a tough job especially towards our own little munchkin. Hopefully, I can do it well since I want Umar to start potty training and weaning off bottles and pacifier, little by little. Insha Allah...No pressure, all children develop at their own pace and their own way. That is what I strongly believe... (^_^)

OuR PrEcIoUs PrinCE...

  • He's 2 years and 5 months++ now...
  • He's very active and talkative...
  • He's a picky eater sometimes, seldom eat rice, he prefers mee hoon but only if it's delicious...sometimes the taste of mee hoon bought from stall was just plain, he wouldn't eat it...
  • He loves curry and masak lemak...
  • He loves VACUUM CLEANER the most, followed by GOLF SET... (^_^)
  • He can spot AEON (Jusco) from far away, even just the logo...
  • He likes to imitate others, especially his Atok screaming during football match...he repeat "GOAL", "CEPAT2", "TEMBAK!", "MAT YO"...
  • He hates to put on KOOLFEVER or wet towel on his forehead whenever he had fever...he will cry and as soon as we put it, he automatically become so weak and behaving like he's really ill which makes us worry more, but the moment we took it off from him, he's suddenly became active again like he did not even have a fever...
  • He does not want to talk with Ummi or Abah on the phone, unless it's a video call...
  • He dislikes it when someone takes other person thing...like when Abah put on Atok slippers for a while, he shouted "Tu Atok punye, jangan ambil", when Opah wear Ummi's headband, he goes saying " Tu Ummi punye, jangan ambil"...

"A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way. "
Mark Twain

"Experience is one thing you can't get for nothing. "

There are so many 'first time' that we can experience in our life...especially for a toddler like my charming son, Muhammad Umar.

I do believe that experience is the best teacher in our life. There's nothing interesting compare to the one that you experienced yourself. Yes, you can read or listen, but the feeling that you got from your own experience is unforgettable.

Muhammad Umar first experience on the bus was when he's about 11 months++...He's very excited and he barely sleep during the two and a half hours journey from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur.

InsyaAllah, this coming weekend he'll be experience one more of his 'first time'. Hopefully, both Umar and Ummi are in a good health condition since both of us does not feel very well lately.. (^_^)

IdEaS FoR BaBy uMaR 2nd BiRtHdAy...

Our precious little one will be celebrating his 2nd birthday next month...but Ummi and Abah still couldn't figure out what kind of celebration or present for him.

For his 1st birthday last year, we bought drinks and snacks, put in paper bags, and deliver the goody bags to families and friends. We wanted to teach him the joy of sharing and we taught that he's too young to enjoy birthday party.

Now that he's turning 2, he becomes a lot smarter and active. We're thinking of giving him a bicycle, but Opah and Atok was way ahead of us. Hehehe. Thank you Opah and Atok for the cute red bicycle.

There are a few suggestions for presents in the internet, but some of them are usual things and Umar already had it like books and toys, while some of them are simply out of price range.

I'm thinking of buy/bake cake, since Umar loves cake, especially chocolate cake.

Birthday party or not? Still believe that he's too young for it...or is it though?

Goody bags again? Not a bad idea at all...plus, it is very economical... (^_^)

Still thinking...

WhEn MUmmY Is BoReD...

Ummi's bored...web surfing and found http://www.justmommies.com/ and take...

Baby Personality Quiz...for Muhammad Umar, of course...

Your baby personality quiz results are below.....

What can you expect for your baby? He will be a very passionate person. He is fiercely competitive, motivated, and driven. He is very bright but is easily bored or distracted. You won't have to worry about him being a couch potato. He will be very athletic or physically active. He is emotional, sensitive, and affectionate. His image and good looks are very important to him. When he gets to be a teen he will be the one that refuses to wear anything that is not in style. He will burn a whole in your pocket if you let him. He will drive you crazy wanting the newest athletic shoes. He enjoys listening to music, dancing, and loves a good drama (whether its fiction or real life).

He will be very ambitious and will do well in life. He adapts well to change and can function well in just about any setting. He is good at rolling with the punches and nothing gets him down. Career chooses may include actor/model, doctor, lawyer, advertising executive, or politician.

Why don't you mommies take for your baby too?it's fun...(^_^)

YoU caN cALL mE AnYtHing...

My baby already 1 year and 4 months++...

He can say "ABAH" precisely..but, "UMMI", not yet I guess...

He calls me "MI" and sometimes "MIMI"...

Before this...he calls me "nay" and "inay"...hahaha. That's Mom in Tagalog. Maybe because I'm too obsessed with Philippines drama when I'm pregnant..so funny

Sometimes when he wants me to hold him, he just shout "bibi", like the way he pronounce the word "baby"...and then his Abah will go like "baby?ummi kamu tu dh besar panjang dh pun"...hahaha

Well, sayang, u can call me anything, before u can pronounce "ummi", but the most important thing is you're mine, and I will always be right by your side. I'm so proud of u..

I LOVE U, MUHAMMAD UMAR BIN ANAS...

ThERe's AlwAYS FIRst TiME FoR EveRyTHiNG...

Muhammad Umar first experience in waterpark...and he's loving it!!

Since Ummi bought swimming suit for Umar but unable to wear it in Langkawi during last trip, we've decided to go to a waterpark.

The first choice is Bukit Merah Laketown but we've been thinking that this is the first time for Umar. Maybe he's afraid and doesn't want to go near the water or things like that, so it will become a waste considering that the entrance costs us rm27 for 1 adult.

So, we agree to go to Marina Cove Lumut. It's so cheap there. Just rm5 for 1 adult. rm3 for children above 12 years old (if i'm not mistaken, or maybe above certain height) and additional rm2 if you want to bring in your own tube. The waterpark is good enough for a first timer like Umar.

Look!I'm having fun with Abah!!

Umar ignoring the camera...

Nak masuk dalam air lagi...please!

Once again, biar Ummi seorang je smiling to the camera...

simple, but good enough for this time

the slide that makes Ummi screaming at the first try...huhuhu...budak2 kecil pun relax je
After playing in the waterpark, you can go to Lumut town to buy fish/seafood products...overall, we're having fun but a little note to Marina Cove Waterpark management (as if diaorang baca la kan), please keep your pools clean, and please let all the pools functioning well...thank you.

Yup, looking forward to go to bigger waterpark next time!!

WheN My BabY sTARTS tALKING...

Our pride and joy, Muhammad Umar bin Anas already 1 year and 3 months now..

He develops an interest to follow simple words that adults say...

Those words coming from his mouth might not be perfect, but they are so cute and he puts a lot effort on it...

We're very proud of you, Muhammad Umar...

He likes to say these words...

GAJAH---->ta..jah
KAKAK---> ka..ka
UPIN IPIN---> pippin
BABY--->bibi
BABY KISHA---->bibi sha
OPAH--->pah
ABAH--->bah
UMMI---->mi
KEK--->tek
BALLS--->bull
BOT--->bot

And he likes to sit on the couch and watch TV...but not for a long time, dances whenever he hear music...

He prefer running than walking sometimes...and the other times, walking backwards...so funny

Know how to raise his hand to recite doa especially before meal...

Love to kiss Ummi than Abah, but prefer to play with Abah more...

Had his first kiss already....hahahaha
